What's New in the PDF FLY v7.0 product family?

General

  • Intelligent object recognition of circles and ellipses from paths and polygons
  • Great degree of flexibility in the naming and numbering of output files
  • Convert a PDF page range
  • Further improved font mapping options
  • Watch Folder support
    Using a watch folder program, such as www.watchdirectiory.net, PDF FLY can be used
    as an automatic conversion tool.
  • FLY Print Driver is supported using redmon
    Integrates all PDF FLY output formats into any Windows application that you are running! Requires "redmon" to be installed on your PC.
  • FLY Batch - Batch tools for converting PostScript and PDF files
    Licensed per input/output format.
  • Support of stdin
  • Default font mapping option - All unknown fonts can be automatically mapped to specified font.
  • Support of cropping/clipping on an object level in case output formats do not support it natively (eg WMF, DXF)
  • Wildcards support in the font names
  • Option to emulate text in a certain font (render it as paths/polylines)
  • Support of Unicode font encoding

  • Runs on 64-bit Windows in 32-bit compatibility mode. Will be release in a native 64-bit version later in 2007.

  • pdf2image released as a dedicated, low-cost solution for converting PDF files into WYSIWYG image formats for the Web and Microsoft Office (no batch capabilities, $59). High quality anti-aliased bitmap files

  • Batch conversion feature makes it easy to generate web-images automatically and in volume from PDF and PostScript files.

  • Option to remove margin or white space from around image (custom cropping)

  • Choose relative pixel dimensions to create thumbnails or other graphics to fit perfectly into your web designs.

  • Create a cropped, fit-to-dimension thumbnail as second image.

CGM (PDF FLY)
  • CGM input supported (CGM FLY)

  • CGM output supports more CGM profiles - ATA, PIP, MIL etc

EPS (PDF FLY)
  • supports EPSF (EPS with TIFF preview)

  • Improved EPS output

  • Option to map fonts to a PostScript printer font name

  • Option to fit result to page

  • Option to include type-1 fonts

  • Lists unknown fonts in EPS file so you can determine best substitutes.

ASCII (PDF FLY)
